These prestigious top up scholarships are available to help support Thai-born graduate research students with living costs. The John Bush Memorial Top-Up Scholarships are awarded in addition to a Monash centrally allocated scholarship such as a Monash Graduate Scholarship.

Description

These scholarships are generously made possible through the John Bush Memorial Fund.  The late Mr John Bush, a WW2 veteran, businessman and Melbourne based philanthropist, had a longstanding affinity for Thailand and its culture. Mr Bush generously made provisions in his will for the establishment of The John Bush Memorial Fund, an enduring legacy that will go on to support the educational needs of Thai-born students in need of financial assistance.

 

Benefits

Scholarships provide a living allowance top up (stipend) of $10,000 per annum.

 

Eligibility

You must be one of the following:

  • An International student

You must meet the following criteria:

  • be a graduate researcher from Thailand;
  • meet Monash's competitive scholarship selection process requirements;
  • meet Monash University's English language proficiency requirements

This scholarship is also available to students undertaking Joint Research Awards when Monash University is the home institution.
