Description

Australian National University  can support you financially if you are admitted to one of its study programmes as an international student.

Australian National University awards scholarships, bursaries, tuition fee reductions and discounts that help you cover existing tuition and living costs.

Eligibility

Up to two Awards will be available each year to a prospective or continuing domestic student who:

  • Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and
  • Is enrolled in and continuing to pursue a program of study for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy or Master or Philosophy, at NCEPH at the ANU, and
  • Has been awarded an HDR base stipend scholarship.
  • Continuing candidates should apply within twelve months of commencement.
  • Note: An applicant may also apply for the Broom Research Award if they have applied for a HDR base stipend scholarship but have not yet learnt of the outcome. The Broom Research Award may be awarded to a candidate who has not obtained a base stipend scholarship, but only under exceptional circumstances and may be subject to submission of additional documentation for assessment.

    Candidates should provide:

    • a completed application form;
    • a 2-page (maximum) CV; and
    • a 2-page (maximum) research proposal outlining the research aims to be addressed and proposed research methodology/activities
    • copies of your Academic Records (transcripts) from undergraduate and (where relevant) postgraduate degrees.
