Up to two Awards will be available each year to a prospective or continuing domestic student who:
Note: An applicant may also apply for the Broom Research Award if they have applied for a HDR base stipend scholarship but have not yet learnt of the outcome. The Broom Research Award may be awarded to a candidate who has not obtained a base stipend scholarship, but only under exceptional circumstances and may be subject to submission of additional documentation for assessment.

Candidates should provide:
- a completed application form;
- a 2-page (maximum) CV; and
- a 2-page (maximum) research proposal outlining the research aims to be addressed and proposed research methodology/activities
- copies of your Academic Records (transcripts) from undergraduate and (where relevant) postgraduate degrees.
