UMBC offers several competitive Scholars Programs that combine financial scholarships with special opportunities for advanced research, seminars and workshops, directed internships, study abroad, and more

Scholarships range from $5,000 to $22,000 per year.

Eligibility

  • Admitted student for Fall semester intake.
  • Secondary/high school GPA equivalent of 3.0 or higher (on 4.0 scale).
  • Additional eligibility and application required and varies by program.
  • Additional application required.

For accepted students: Applying to a scholars program will require that you have your UMBC Campus ID. Your Campus ID will be sent approximately five to seven business days after you have submitted your Common Application to UMBC.
