Overview

The Doctoral School of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, established on January 1, 2001, represents the highest level of chemical engineering education at the University of Pannonia , with over 100 PhD degrees awarded to date.

The programme combines structured study, independent research, and reporting activities in line with the University’s Doctoral Regulations. Credits are earned through coursework, research, and teaching, with one contact hour per week equivalent to two study points. PhD students engage in lecturing and industrially relevant project work, enhancing both skills and professional networks.

The primary aim of the School is to train scientists capable of independent and creative research in chemical engineering and materials science. Students may pursue research under internationally recognized faculty in areas including material analysis and surface chemistry, process engineering, intelligent materials, ceramic industry systems, modern chemical unit operations, environmental engineering technologies, hydrocarbon processing, molecular and nanotechnologies, and biotechnology. Graduates are well prepared for academic, research, and industry careers.
