Overview

Biomedical Engineering at University of Glasgow are currently home to 35 research students pursuing PhD in fields as diverse as infectious disease diagnostics for the developing world, brain-computer interfaces, stem cell differentiation using nanotechnology, robots as orthotic aids, and the creation of artificial cells.

Learning outcomes

PhD students in the Biomedical Engineering programme offered at University of Glasgow typically work alongside experienced post-doctoral researchers under the supervision of world leaders in their areas of domain expertise.

Students will receive comprehensive training in research in the engineering disciplines associated with their project and the research group’s activities, typically across a range of advanced analytical, numerical and experimental techniques.
