General requirements
- Applicants must have earned a Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college of university. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in health, business, economic, social science, or related areas who are interested in research in health services and policy are encouraged to apply to the Ph.D. program. A graduate degree in administration, public health, or health planning is excellent preparation, as is experience in a health care setting.
- A minimum grade point average of 3.0 on undergraduate course work and 3.25 on graduate course work is preferred.
- GRE scores are not required, but are optional for fall 2024 applicants.
- TOEFL (or IELTS) scores are required for international students except permanent residents or those who have earned a degree from an accredited institution in the US, Canada (except Quebec), Australia, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom.
- Relevant work, research and/or volunteer experience is considered.
