Overview

The Institut Curie PhD program (IC-PhD) provides dynamic, research-based multidisciplinary training for all PhD students conducting their research in the institute’s state-of-the-art laboratories in coordination with the PhD student-affiliated University and Doctoral School.

Research

Just like treatment and research, training and education are an integral part of Institut Curie’s founding social missions. The aim of this Institut Curie International PhD Program is to prepare future leaders. So, each year, Institut Curie’s Research Center welcomes hundreds of PhD students from all over the world.

They carry out research in a vibrant environment based on the pluri-disciplinary approaches and excellence offered by over 85 research groups comprising Institut Curie’s 13 joint research units organized in 6 research themes and a translational department.

Candidates must be in possession of (or be about to obtain) a European master’s degree or equivalent master’s degree which would formally entitle them to embark on a doctorate in France.

2 recommendation letters preferably including at least one from a previous internship supervisor

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.

Funding

8 fellowships will ba awarded in 2020. The fellows will be employees of Institut Curie with a gross monthly salary of 2100€/month for 3 years (including the doctoral mission).
