The Professional Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology degree is a three-year programme of professional training in educational psychology, approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and provided by University College London (UCL).

Features 

  • The Professional Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology programme seeks to integrate at all levels the three key elements of academic knowledge, research ability and professional practice. In particular, as a doctoral research degree programme and in line with UCL’s ‘Connected Curriculum’, research permeates all aspects.

General requirements

  • All applicants must have a BPS recognised degree qualification in Psychology equivalent to an upper second-class Bachelor's degree. Applicants with a lower second-class Bachelor's degree but a further academic qualification at Master's level will also be considered. 
  • Additionally, all applicants must have a minimum of two years voluntary or paid employment experience working with children and young people in the 0-25 age range in community, health, social care or educational contexts. Applicants must also have enhanced level DBS status.
