Overview

The Pedagogy programme at the University of the National Education Commission, Krakow may comprise additional ways of acquiring and developing qualifications, at DS student’s own initiative.

This programme prepares DS student for research, development, artistic and teaching work within the scope of:

academic competences;

specialist competences;

social competences.

The School supports:

interdisciplinary activities and projects;

PhD students’ mobility and making contacts in Poland and abroad through enabling PhD students’ participation in exchange programmes and conferences, also international;

carrying out research and artistic activities, also outside the particular University or research unit;

academic or artistic cooperation within the frames of research teams, alo international;

participation in summer schools and other programmes or courses (also on-line) that develop academic, artistic, didactic, and social skills.

Family towards the challenges of postmodernism

The child in the face of information and communication technologies

Technical education and integral child development

Participation in computer games and child functioning at different stages of development

General requirements

PhD topics may cover: general, social, comparative, family, media, school, special pedagogy; andragogy; didactics. The competitive recruitment includes:

(a) a research proposal (0–15 pts, 10,000–20,000 characters without spaces, in Polish or English), assessed for objectives, methodology, originality, and feasibility;

(b) an interview (0–20 pts) verifying project justification, disciplinary knowledge, and discussion skills;

(c) scholarly activity (0–7 pts) including indexed publications, monographs, conferences, internships (min. 7 days), student research clubs, and awards. Documentation required.

Work experience

An eligible candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Pedagogy.
