General requirements

Master degree with training in Theatre Studies and/or Theatre Arts or Theatre Skills (or an acceptable equivalent qualification approved by the Senate) and an approved research proposal.

Candidates who do not have an BA Hons from Stellenbosch University Department Drama may be asked to complete and pass the module 10116 Theatre research: Introduction to Research Methodology 771 (20 credits) in the first year of their registration.
