Programme Structure

Curriculum:

The minimum required credits to be completed with the online cohort are 54 credits, in addition to which students choose electives and transfer credits from their Masters degree.

Students take 6 credits with their cohort each semester (Fall, Spring and Summer). This includes online courses and seminars, and online synchronous sessions.

Degree completion depends on the student’s ability to complete program requirements to a level commensurate with doctoral level work.

General requirements

A completed Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

The GRE requirement was temporarily waived for Fall 2022 cohort admissions. Applicants to the Fall 2022 cohort were not required to provide GRE scores. A recent (less than 5 years old) GRE score. The University of Florida’s Office of Admissions will only accept scores sent directly from ETS using the school code 5812.

Three letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to your current work and your likelihood of success in graduate school. The application form allows you to submit 5, but we require at least three.

A statement of purpose (1-2 pages).

A writing sample (e.g. a publication, report or an essay or paper previously submitted as an assignment).
