The doctoral dissertation is prepared under the scientific supervision of a supervisor or supervisors, or a supervisor and an auxiliary supervisor.

English language doctoral candidates have the option of preparing their doctoral thesis via the individual path. This mode focused on interests of candidates and needs to deepen their specialist knowledge.

The individual path considers the additional verification of learning outcomes at level 8 of the Polish Qualification Framework (PRK). This Sciences of Management and Quality program is offered by the Cracow University of Economics.

The learning outcomes at level 8 for higher education can be reached by the participation in:

seminars
workshops aimed at improving the research tools
tutorials
meetings held for the purposes of presentation and discussion about the realization of an individual research plan
individual work of the doctoral student

General requirements

In the admission process candidate's degrees are evaluated by the University and in some cases by an agency affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Those institutions decide whether your qualifications are suited to be a prerequisite for a Polish PhD programme.
If you wish, you can send a scanned copy of your master and bachelor degree + transcripts and the university can consult the agency outside of the admission process. This however, may take some time, i.e. from 3 weeks to couple of months.
