About the program

With this Biomolecular Structure and Mechanism program, we seek to attract the most promising and ambitious students with a Master in life sciences from all over the world who wish to work towards a PhD in structural biology and related fields.

Students accepted to the program at ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology will benefit from a comprehensive training program and a productive and stimulating working atmosphere. They will get the opportunity to pursue a challenging research project in a leading research group.

Structure determination of protein-RNA complexes involved in alternative-splicing by NMR spectroscopy
Macromolecular assemblies involved in central cellular processes: protein synthesis and fatty acid synthesis
Imaging cellular structures
Computational structural biology
Mechanisms of ion transport across membranes: The structural biology of ion channels and ion transporters
Bioinorganic and biological chemistry
Folding and function of supramolecular systems and membrane proteins
Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopy Platform (BNSP)
