Overview

Our research group in the Applied Mathematics program from Yale University includes faculty in the Departments of Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics & Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Geology and Geophysics, and the Medical school. In total, there are about 25 members in the Program, all of whom are fully appointed in their respective departments.

General requirements

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) results are not required, but an applicant may submit them. A GRE Subject Test is encouraged.
Additionally, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all international applicants whose native language is not English.
There are no set English test minimums for admission, but incoming doctoral students who received a score of 25 or below on the TOEFL Speaking section are required to participate in a Summer English Language program at Yale in August prior to matriculation.
Official score reports must be submitted for all required examinations. The Educational Testing Service should be asked to report to the Yale Graduate School.
