Overview

The course load consists of courses offered within the program. Course selection is made with the guidance of the academic advisor to meet the student's specific goals and needs. The 24-credit course load consists of courses at the 600 level. However, with the approval of the academic advisor, a maximum of two courses at the 500 level can be taken for credit.

Students at Bogazici University who have not taken the compulsory courses or equivalents in Earthquake Engineering during their master's studies are required to take at least two of these courses in addition to the regular doctoral program.

An ALES quantitative score of 70 or the equivalent of a GRE quantitative score of 154 is accepted.

A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.50/4.00 is required.

A master's degree in Earthquake Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Geophysics, Physics, or Mathematics is necessary.
