The Medical Informatics, Biostatistics and Complex Systems programme is offered by The Medical University of Vienna

• development of new concepts in medical informatics, biostatistics and the science of complex systems
• development of new methods and technologies
• modelling as a major branch of research (database-modeling, complex systems modelling, in silico molecular models, interaction network models, pharmaco-kinetic models, models of cellular mechanisms and transports, decision models in artificial intelligence) or fundamental research by itself.

Focal points of research at the CeMSIIS (Center for Medical Statistics, Informatics and Intelligent Systems) and applications for grants shall be devised to serve the above activities.This PhD Program shall enhance the visibility of cutting edge methodology and technology.

MedUni Vienna offers fully-funded doctoral studies in interdisciplinary programs, including Medical Physics, Artificial Intelligence, Immunology, Neurosciences, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Malignant Diseases, (RNA, vascular, infectious) Biology, Molecular Signalling or Mechanisms of Cell Biology, Cellular Homeostasis, Public Health and Medical Informatics. Research activities range from basic to clinical research. The University offers state-of-the-art research facilities and is directly linked to one of the largest hospitals in Europe.
