The provided in-depth education is meant to prepare candidates for a successful scientific career within academia or industry, or for any other science-related career path.

It is the aim of the thematic programme Clinical Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition at Medical of Viena to train students for modern and comprehensive scientific challenges. Scientifically as well as clinically, the topics related to endocrinology and metabolism extend into many subjects including not only internal medicine, but also gynecology, pediatrics, surgery and nutritional medicine. Thematically, the programme comprise this broad field in basic sciences, diagnostics and novel therapeutic approaches.

MedUni Vienna offers fully-funded doctoral studies in interdisciplinary programs, including Medical Physics, Artificial Intelligence, Immunology, Neurosciences, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Malignant Diseases, (RNA, vascular, infectious) Biology, Molecular Signalling or Mechanisms of Cell Biology, Cellular Homeostasis, Public Health and Medical Informatics. Research activities range from basic to clinical research. The University offers state-of-the-art research facilities and is directly linked to one of the largest hospitals in Europe.
