The Department is part of the London Social Science ESRC Doctoral Training Centre (joint between Queen Mary/Goldsmiths), the London NERC Doctoral Training Partnership, the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctoral Programme on 'Science for Management of Rivers and their Tidal Systems’, and also regularly receives AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Awards.Prospective PhD students are encouraged to consider the wide variety of academic research areas covered by the Department of Geography and Environmental Science. Our research strengths include:
