About the program

Our world-leading technology has contributed to many exciting projects, including aerodynamics for the current world land-speed record car, Thrust SSC, and the future land-speed record car BLOODHOUND SSC and design of the double-decker super-jet Airbus A380.

Computational mechanics forms the basis for the majority of the PhD projects within these engineering disciplines. Swansea University provides an excellent base for your research as a PhD student in Aerospace Engineering.

Applicants for PhD must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University) in Engineering or similar relevant science discipline
