About the programme

The research environment at Child Studies is interdisciplinary, and the department’s researchers have backgrounds in many different subject areas including psychology, cultural studies, linguistics, social anthropology, sociology and history.

The research conducted at Linköping University focuses on the everyday experience of children and young people as well as the social, political and historical conditions impacting children, childhood and families.

The general entry requirements are satisfied by applicants who have at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 must be at advanced level, and by those who have equivalent knowledge in the principal topic of the research education acquired in Sweden or abroad.
