Objectives

The Geology programme at Stockholm University aims to provide:

increased knowledge of research methodology and working methods in the geological research area
subject-oriented adaptation of advanced knowledge in, for example, mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry, geophysics, structural geology and tectonics
an interdisciplinary, applied holistic view of the geological subdisciplines
the ability to carry out more extensive independent research assignments in the field of geology
expanded skills for employment in the field of geology, both within the country and abroad
