Research
Linguistics is the scientific study of human language. At the Department of Linguistics at Stockholm University, we study human linguistic communication in its entirety – structurally, interactively, pragmatically, neurologically, and developmentally.
The research conducted at the Department of Linguistics covers a wide variety of subjects which also reflects the diverse nature of our discipline. We strive to have a dynamic research environment with several laboratories and collaborations across subject boundaries.
The research at our department is conducted within the subjects of child language development, computational linguistics, general linguistics, and phonetics.
