For this purpose, FEB offers PhD positions to excellent candidates who recently graduated. The PhD candidates will work on an individual project, leading to a doctoral dissertation. Work on the dissertation is carried out under supervision of FEBRI fellows.

General requirements
- PhD candidates for positions funded by the RUG are considered employees of the University of Groningen and receive a starting salary of approximately 2500 euro (gross). This salary increases yearly to achieve the final salary of approximately 3200 euro (gross). PhD candidates are expected to contribute to teaching or research. PhD candidates are expected to contribute to teaching for about 15% of their time.
- The recruitment procedure for the positions funded by FEB starts every year around February and during a period of three weeks candidates can submit their application. The application package usually consists of the application form, a motivation letter including the outline of a research proposal, a copy of the diploma and passport, an English proficiency test and an overview of grades.
