About the programme

Of particular importance in this Chemical Technology programme at Luleå University of Technology is the development of materials for chemical engineering applications.

We develop membranes, adsorbents and catalysts to reduce energy use in the chemical industry and enable competitive production from renewable raw materials. We also work with basic materials studies and process development to improve the quality of chemical products.

Programme Structure

An applicant meets the general entry requirements for doctoral (third-cycle) studies if he or she has been awarded a Master’s (second-cycle) qualification, has satisfied the requirements for courses comprising at least 240 credits, of which at least 60 second-cycle credits, or has acquired substantially equivalent knowledge in another way, in Sweden or elsewhere.
