About the programme
Our Drama, Theatre and Performance faculty at the University of Sussex are theatre-makers, performance artists, theatre historians and performance theorists. They are experts in diverse interdisciplinary approaches to the study of drama, theatre and performance.
Programme Structure

General requirements
- You’re normally expected to have a Merit (an average of 60% overall) in a Masters degree.
- Your Masters-level qualification should be in a drama-related subject or a subject relevant to your chosen area of research. You should also show evidence of substantial research and/or evidence of professional performance-related experience.
- Your undergraduate degree-level qualification should be in drama, performance or theatre studies.
- You may also be considered for the degree if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.
