Overview

According tot he Doctoral Regulations, there is a general possibility to undertake such studies for lawyers who have not completed their studies in Germany. However, there are certain formal requirements that you should be aware of. In particular, it is not possible to register individually for doctoral studies without the approval and support of a supervisor, who must be one of the professors of the Faculty. We advise you to get in touch with professors if you are interested in pursuing a German Dr. jur. programme to see whether they have the capacity and interest to supervise you.
