Overview
The graduate at Comenius University in Bratislava can analyse, synthesize, and compare the legal institutes of the legal branch of European Union Law, as well as related legal branches, with the aim of creating proposals de lege ferenda, in the interest of their more effective application in the legal order.
They are capable of using all supporting scientific methods of research in scientific work, while they are able to connect not only the legal institutes of European Union Law, but also to think critically and interdisciplinary.

General requirements
- The basic prerequisite for admission to doctoral studies is a second-level university degree.
- Completion of a master's degree programme in law in the Slovak Republic, or completion of a master's degree programme in law in the Czech Republic, or completion of a master's degree programme in law in a country other than the Slovak Republic or the Czech Republic on the basis of the Decision on the Equivalence of Documents.
- Excellent knowledge and skills in the field of law to be the subject of the doctoral studies - at least at the level of a graduate of a master's degree programme.
- The ability to study, communicate at a professional level and publish in at least one world language;
