Overview

The Commercial and Financial Law graduate at Comenius University Bratislava can analyze, synthesize and compare the legal institutes of the legal branch of commercial and financial law, as well as related legal branches, with the aim of creating de lege ferenda proposals, in the interest of their more effective application in the legal order.

General requirements

The basic prerequisite for admission to doctoral studies is a second-level university degree.

Completion of a master's degree programme in law in the Slovak Republic, or completion of a master's degree programme in law in the Czech Republic, or completion of a master's degree programme in law in a country other than the Slovak Republic or the Czech Republic on the basis of the Decision on the Equivalence of Documents.

Excellent knowledge and skills in the field of law to be the subject of the doctoral studies - at least at the level of a graduate of a master's degree programme.

The ability to study, communicate at a professional level and publish in at least one world language;
