About the program

Towards becoming a Referral Hub for Engineering Education and Sustainable Solutions Based on Islamic Principles for a Better World, the Faculty's mission at the International Islamic University of Malaysia is:

To provide quality engineering education with sufficient scope of knowledge and application.
To include fundamental and specialised knowledge and practice in engineering.
To grant a broad base in management, ethics, and humanities.
To provide based and prepare students to serve the current and emerging needs of the society.

Programme Structure

Structure:

All PhD students are required to submit a thesis that contains the findings of their research project.
Students will select a research topic via consultation with their supervisors who will guide the students in the preparation and the progress of both research work and thesis writing.
The students will defend their thesis in front of a Thesis Examination Committee in a public seminar.

A relevant Bachelor's degree and Master's degree or equivalent from IIUM or any other accredited institution of higher learning
A suitable Research Proposal is required for Ph.D. applicants

Research Proposal (compulsory for those applying for PhD programmes by research only mode)
