Overview

The studies are a response to the health needs of patients and are conducted with the highest ethical standards. In addition to highly specialized knowledge in the field of medical sciences, health sciences and knowledge of high ethical standards, the program includes classes in the methodology of scientific research, building research hypotheses, interpretation of the obtained results, critical discussion, biostatistics, principles of presenting assumptions and results of scientific research, knowledge on raising funds for research and the possibility of research commercialization.

Further development opportunities

After completing the Medical Sciences program at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, the graduate is prepared to conduct further independent scientific research and research work in interdisciplinary research teams, as well as didactic work in Polish and foreign research centres.

Admission to doctoral schools is open to candidates who hold the degree of Master of Arts, Master of Science (Master of Engineering) or equivalent.
In exceptional cases, justified by the highest quality of scientific achievements, a person who is a graduate of the first cycle studies or a student who completed the third year of a single cycle five-year master's studies may also be admitted.
Applicants will submit a proposal of a unique research project with bibliography prepared for the purposes of the admission (up to 8 pages of standard typescript, max. 15,000 characters with spaces) and take part in an interview.
