General requirements

A Research Masters degree in a related field.
A supervisor from the School must be identified and approached prior to application.
For admission to a Doctor of Philosophy degree, the applicant should normally have produced an outstanding Masters Project.
Please note that students applying from outside of the University of the Witwatersrand will be required to submit examples of written work before their application will be considered.
