About the program

The Scientific Basis of Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer Application program from Kazakh Agro-Technical Research University (KATRU) will help you:

Present and analyze problems and questions about the state of soil fertility, analyze and evaluate production activities, develop an action plan to improve soil fertility, increase yield and product quality. Be able to express their own point of view on the problems of reproduction and preservation of soil fertility, on the methods of accounting and economic assessment of land. Be able to draw up and plan a work plan to improve the reclamation condition of fields, a plan for the use of organic and mineral fertilizers and chemical plant protection products, techniques for increasing the effective and potential fertility of soils.
To promote technological, social or cultural development of the society in the academic and professional context, to communicate their know-ledge and achievements to colleagues, the scientific community and the General public in the field of methods of management of mineral nutrition of crops, based on knowledge of the theory of plant physiology and its role in the diagnosis and monitoring for timely optimization of mineral nutrition.
Analyze, evaluate and synthesize new and complex ideas in the development of a scientifically sound system for the use of fertilizers, drawing up technological projects for obtaining a given productivity of agricultural crops and reproduction of soil fertility of various agro-cenoses.
To determine the theoretical basis for optimizing the parameters of physical, physico-chemical and agrochemical properties of soils. To list methods of improvement and regulation of water, air and thermal properties and modes; to evaluate and make adequate decisions on the regulation of fertility indicators; to determine the need for nutrients of cultivated crops, methods of optimization of microbiological processes of soil.
To acquire and use skills on the basics of mechanization and automation of technological processes of crop production with their further application in professional activities. To study modern achievements in the field of technical and technological support of crop production processes.
