History and Archaeology research at University of Hull ranges from Palaeolithic America, Roman Britain and medieval England and Ireland to the Middle East, by way of modern Australia, Britain, Europe and North America. Thematic strengths include Indigenous, maritime, military, global, social, economic, environmental, cultural, intellectual and political history, as well as the history of slavery and of adaptive technologies.
