Overview
The academics have an established tradition of internationally recognised research excellence. In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework, English and Creative Writing at Plymouth was first in the South West for its 4/3* star research outputs and impact signifying 'world-leading' or 'internationally excellent' work.
The Published Works in English course from University of Plymouth enables eligible candidates who have not previously been able to register for a higher degree but have been research active and publishing – or making research available – in the public domain, to submit a collection of works for consideration for the award of a PhD.
