The Department of Chemistry offers a two-year programme of graduate study leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) and a four year programme culminating in the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry. The programmes focus on Organic and Polymer Chemistry.

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. Programme are required to have completed an M.S. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field.

All candidates for admission to graduate programmes are required to have an academic background of at least two semesters of analytical, organic and physical chemistry and a semester of inorganic chemistry.
