This SEU-Monash Joint PhD Programme from Monash University typically takes between three and four years of full-time study to complete. The bulk of these studies are undertaken at the Monash Suzhou, China. Students also receive the benefit of the 'Australian experience', with one year of the programme offered at the Monash campus in Australia.

Students will be jointly supervised by supervisors from both universities throughout their research. Those students who successfully complete their studies in the joint programme will graduate with both a Monash and SEU PhD degree.

All applicants must meet both SEU's Admission Requirements and Monash’s minimum Academic Qualifications and English Language Proficiency for PhD admission.
Students who are Chinese citizens will need to contact their professors at SEU to discuss their eligibility for the program.
