The Chemistry course at Thammasat University aims to produce quality doctoral graduates with knowledge and expertise who are leaders of social change, who possess the experience and capability to conduct research, develop, and apply technology for scientific and technological advancements that benefit and align with national and global needs, and who create both pure and applied scientific research for sustainable social and national development, to be recognized both in the labor market and in international professional circles.

To conduct research in the field of study, the programme supports research by providing students with advanced research tools such as LCMS, GCMS, XRD, AAS, ICP – OES, and other research tools. During the study, students will have the opportunity to be supported to conduct research abroad for 1 year to develop their research skills.

General requirements

A person who has completed a Master's degree in Science in Chemistry or a related field from an educational institution in Thailand or abroad that the University Council has recognized as an academic institution and has a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25. In cases where the cumulative grade point average does not reach the required criteria, must have at least one research work that has been published in an internationally recognized academic journal, or other research work in addition to the research work used to complete the studies, or

A person who has completed a bachelor's degree in science, majoring in chemistry or an equivalent field, from an educational institution in Thailand or abroad that the University Council has recognized as having an honors degree or outstanding academic performance, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50.
