Overview
During the Medicine Pharmacology programme from Pavol Jozef Safárik University in Kosice, the student will learn to master the scientific methods of pharmacology, to be able to apply in a creative way to solve a wide range of problems in the field of human sciences (physiology, pathological physiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, pathology).
Key Facts
During the studies student will learn how to formulate scientific problems, research hypotheses, prepare and carry out experiments, use model organisms and tissue cultures and objectively evaluate obtained results by statistical analysis. The student will learn the principles of working in interdisciplinary teams, the principles of creating scientific projects will learn the social, ethical and legal aspects of scientific work.
After successful completion of this study program, the student will gather knowledge and experience related to the main topics such as genomics, proteomics, cell death, cell signaling, signal transduction processes, basic pathobiochemical mechanisms involved in organ damage and the development of pathological processes, specific drug interactions with the body.
