Overview
Graduates of the Theory and Design of Structural Engineering programme from The Technical University of Kosice (TUKE) will master the scientific methods of theory and design of engineering and transport structures, as well as bearing structures of buildings with an emphasis on their actual material properties and elastoplastic behaviour, environmental aspects and economic efficiency, based on the acquired knowledge of the current state of problem solving in our country and abroad.
Learning outcomes
Graduate of the study programme:
- acquires scientific knowledge of a mathematical-physical nature,
- acquires the methods and principles of scientific work, able to scientifically formulate and find solutions to problems,
- is aware of and takes into account the ethical and social aspects of scientific work, technical and environmental aspects of new materials and technologies, as well as the link between research - development - production - use - recycling,
- capable of independently solving research problems, cooperating with foreign countries and using world professional literature,
- can present the results of his scientific work orally, in writing and using new electronic means,
- contributes to technical development and social progress, either in scientific research or professional practice.
