Overview
The Advanced Microwave Technology Development for Low Carbon PVC Recycling course at Aston University will support the development of Halocycle’s PVC recycling process by carrying out a detailed study of the effect of microwave processing parameters on the product stream distribution and characteristics, with a particular emphasis on upgrading them into valuable products for integration into the circular economy. The PhD student will have access to industrially relevant amounts of process products from Halocycle’s continuous pilot scale facility, aswell as gain first-hand experience running and optimising the plant as part of the industrial placement.
