Overview

The Research Advisory Group primarily consists of faculty members of the Graduate School of Media and Governance who teach research methodology to students and direct their thesis writing.

Features

In principle, students pursuing the Media and Governance program of the Keio University International Center must complete all the required lecture courses while they are in the Master’s Program.

This implies that when students are still in the Master’s Program, they participate in research projects and are trained to become career professionals, and when such students enter the Doctoral Program, they are ready to write their own research proposals and conduct independent research.

Programme Structure

Curriculum:

Enrolled for six semesters or more after admission. However, this excludes students who have satisfied the requirements for Early Degree Completion.

Satisfied the requirements as a doctoral candidate.

Passed the Doctoral Dissertation Evaluation, Dissertation Hearing, and Final Examination.

Passed the Final Evaluation of the Doctoral Dissertation (through vote).

Applicants need to fulfill atleast one ofthe following four requirements:

They must have completed, or be scheduled to complete a master’s degree course or professional degree course

They must be accredited by the Ministry of Education,Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan

They must be at least 24 years old and be accredited by the Graduate School of Media and Governance as having academic skills equivalent to or higher than that of master’s degree holders
