About the Programme

The Automatic Control, Robotics and Vision programme of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia provides a framework for students to complete doctoral theses in these fields, which are of vital importance in traditional industry and many service applications.

Work is carried out mainly under the supervision of professors associated with the programme, using research facilities made available by the two units responsible for the degree (IOC and ESAII); the Institute of Robotics and Industrial Informatics (IRI), which collaborates very actively with the programme; and the research groups involved.

General requirements

The ideal entrance qualification is a master’s degree that covers areas related to the subject areas of the programme: automatic control, robotics and computer vision

Applicants who have completed the master's degree in Automatic Control and Robotics offered by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya qualify for direct admission to the doctoral programme in Automatic Control, Robotics and Vision

Applicants who hold a science degree (e.g. in industrial engineering, electronics, mechanics, electromechanics or informatics) may also be admitted to the programme

Academic transcripts

If your entrance qualification was issued by a foreign institution, a letter from your home university stating that your qualification qualifies you for admission to doctoral studies in that country
