The program’s goal is to help prepare you for a successful and productive career as a faculty member at a leading research-oriented university.

As a PhD in Accounting and Management Information Systems student at The Ohio State University in our program you are offered:

Programme Structure

Curriculum:

Our program comprises of two internationally recognized tracks: Accounting and MIS.

It consistently ranks among the top 20 in terms of PhD alumni publications and achievements.

The program is full-time and all students are expected to be in residence throughout the entire program, including graduation, to ensure they complete the degree in a timely manner.

The time to completion takes four to five years and depends on the rigor of the student's prior preparation and aptitude in accounting, economics and mathematics.

General requirements

If you are a current or previous OSU graduate student, you will also need to submit a Transfer of Graduate Program Form.

A non-refundable application fee of $60 is required for domestic applicants; $70 for international applicants.

If you have previously attended a graduate program in OSU, no fee is required.

Official scores must be sent to The Ohio State University using the GRE institution code.

All programs accept either GMAT or GRE. Please note that the Accounting and MIS program strongly prefers the GMAT. Scores are valid within 5 years of the application submission date.

You are required to submit copies of transcripts from each undergraduate and graduate institution attended, including study abroad and transfer credit.
