History
Established in 1789, Georgetown is the nation’s oldest Catholic and Jesuit university. Drawing upon the 450-year-old legacy of Jesuit education, we provide students with a world-class learning experience focused on educating the whole person through exposure to different faiths, cultures and beliefs.

Medical services
The student health center offers the full spectrum of primary care including on-site labs to Georgetown students with the mission of supporting health while in a rigorous academic environment. We do preventive care including physicals, well women, STI screening and pre-travel visits. We handle urgent needs such as infections, injuries, and more complex problems with same day appointments.
Campus life

Intellectual and diverse environment
Studying in GU, you will find yourself very happy. It provides an environment that fosters intellectual growth and exploration. Students are exposed to a wide range of subjects and ideas, allowing them to delve deeper into areas of interest and discover new passions. The opportunity to engage in intellectual discussions, interact with professors and fellow students, and access a variety of resources contributes to personal and academic growth. It is also diverse and inclusive, with students from various backgrounds and cultures. Interacting with people from different walks of life exposes students to different perspectives, ideas, and cultures. This exposure promotes empathy, cultural understanding, and critical thinking, enriching the overall educational experience.
Safety on campus
I have had an amazing experience at Georgetown University. The classes are enjoyable, the professors are exceptional, and I feel like I am receiving a worthwhile education. The people and faculty at this institution are extraordinary, and I have discovered my true self while being here. Additionally, I always feel secure on campus, as it is the safest place in town.
I benefited from a hybrid learning approach
I think overall the professors are all great with a lot of real-life experience since they are all adjunct professors. The school is relatively new so there aren't that many traditional clubs or activities within the school. It's also not an actual campus and away from the other schools within the university. There are many international students so it's a great opportunity to learn and meet students from everywhere. There are also virtual and in-person classes as options for students.
