History
Founded in Philadelphia in 1851, Saint Joseph's University embraces the Jesuit educational model. Education
As Philadelphia's Jesuit, Catholic University, founded by the Society of Jesus in 1851, Saint Joseph's University provides a rigorous, student-centered education rooted in the liberal arts.
Research
The Office of Research Services is the office through which federal, state, local, and private funding agencies channel their requests for assistance utilizing grants and contracts. In addition, it is the unit through which faculty coordinate their efforts in the development of research and other sponsored programs. The ORS assist faculty in making contracts with government and private agency officials; works to stimulate the interests of these agencies in appropriate university programs; and provide a clearing house for information on faculty interests and university capabilities.

Our 125-acre campus offers students the best of both worlds, intersecting a vibrant Philadelphia neighborhood with a charming, historic Main Line suburb. When you come to Saint Joseph’s University, you’ll have easy access to all of the endless opportunities the nation’s sixth largest city has to offer.
Sports facilities
At Saint Joseph’s University we work to reinforce the educational mission that emphasizes the whole person – including spirit, mind, and body. The Office of Student Life organizes a number of fitness programs and group exercise classes available to students. The O’Pake Recreation Center is open daily, featuring a 25-meter indoor pool and a fitness center with the latest cardio and strength equipment. The fitness center is located on the Maguire Campus side of campus. This center, offers various athletic and recreation facilities in addition to specialized classes and activities.

Changes or renovation of mindset.
Thanks for the opportunity, I would like to say that I love alot about St JOSEPH UNIVERSITY but mostly is how displine the students are, and how they work hard to make sure they archive the goals they made for themselves but as we can see alot of university have now made a step by pushing up the students on working on different kinds of talents that they have like we see musicians and dancers so as in st Joseph we can have a gospel singers and other good talents if we push up the students, and other opinion I would like to give is that the professor have to make sure they kindly talk to the students about life style since people or students my have a problem but can be very hard to face there mentor and that can lead to drop down of school or poor performance, But all in all I would like to congrats the teachers since they all make sure students stay on there line in terms of studies and displine and how they have fear of God.
