History
Hong Kong Baptist College was founded by the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong in 1956 as a post-secondary college committed to the provision of a whole person education. In 1983, it became a fully-funded public tertiary institution, and the College gained university status just over a decade later. It was renamed Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) in 1994.

Our RPg programme office is always here to help, especially to those who are new to HK and to HKBU. The supervisor assigned will also guide the new students through and lead them during the whole research process. Our Graduate School who is responsible for taking care of the RPg students in HKBU will be there to provide assistance as well. Other support including the Financial Support.

Certain facilities and infrastructure are reserved for the exclusive use of students of the School of Business. These include:
Bloomberg LaboratoryEquipped with a Bloomberg terminal, the Bloomberg laboratory lets students familiarise themselves with one of the most powerful systems used by financial professionals worldwide. The terminal allows users to monitor and analyse real-time financial market data, as well as to provide news, price quotes, and secure messaging.
Campus life
HKBU's School of Business offers state-of-the art facilities and amenities befitting its status as one of Asia’s leading institutions of higher learning.
Students of the School of Business can also freely enjoy the general facilities of the University. General facilities include a large library featuring English and Chinese titles, the University’s own Wai Hang Sports Centre as well as a multi-institution sports centre, a 3-star hotel and several coffee shops and restaurants located throughout the campus.
We are proud to be the first university in Hong Kong that aims at becoming a low carbon campus that is in the process of adopting a series of long-term environmental protection strategies, such as energy conservation and green purchasing.
