Housing services
Westlake University has four residential colleges. While living on campus, undergraduates enjoy the comfort of single bedrooms and shared living areas with 3-4 suitemates. Living here feels personal, cozy and connected.
Library services
At Yungu Campus there is a small library located on levels 4 and 5 of the Campus Services Center Building. The space has 150 seats and 4 seminar rooms.The main Yungu Campus library will be completed in the second half of 2024. When it opens it will have over 2,000 seats. The new building will provide an elegant and comfortable environment for our Westlake community.
Sports facilities
The gym at Yungu campus, located in the Faculty Recreation Center (C16), has a variety of weight-lifting and cardio equipment as well as free training areas. Yunqi Campus has two gyms, featuring weight-lifting and cardio equipment, which can be accessed by swiping a campus card.

A Balanced Experience with Room for Improvement
My overall study experience was a mix of positives and challenges. I appreciated the exposure to relevant course content and the opportunity to learn practical skills, especially in areas like laboratory techniques and instrumentation. Some lecturers were passionate and helpful, which made learning easier and more engaging. However, there were also aspects that could be improved. For instance, sometimes the teaching methods felt outdated, and a few courses lacked the hands-on experience they promised. Communication between staff and students could also be more effective, especially when it comes to schedules and feedback. In summary, the experience has been decent — not bad, but not exceptional either. With some improvements in teaching quality and student support, it could be much better.
