The Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute (TBSI) is a joint research and graduate education institute established in 2014 by Tsinghua University, UC Berkeley, and the Shenzhen Municipal Government to address global challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Accommodation for the Tsinghua-UC Berkeley Shenzhen Institute is on-campus and costs approximately RMB 1000 per month for a single room. You will need to pay a two-month deposit and a six-month advance rental fee when you check in, with subsequent rent paid every six months. Library services
Tsinghua University has many libraries, including general libraries and six specialized libraries. The general libraries include the Old Library, the Yifu Library and the Mochtar Riady Library (North Building). All students may enter freely and borrow books from these libraries with their student IC card.
Sports facilities
Tsinghua has a long sporting tradition and encourages students to regularly participate in sporting activities. The campus is fully equipped with many different sports facilities, and has more than 10 sports grounds open to students, and 6 courts with lights for evening use.
Student clubs
The school is committed to providing students with a variety of platforms for growth. Currently, there are 50 registered student organizations at Tsinghua SIGS, spanning seven categories: public welfare practice, technological innovation, ideological and political development, cultural and sports activities, arts and culture, volunteer services, and mutual support and self-discipline. These organizations cater to students with different academic backgrounds and interests.
