History
On November 16th, 2011, the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (MOE) approved the application of preparation on establishing Wenzhou-Kean University which was cooperatively run by Wenzhou University and Kean University USA. On March 31st, 2014, the MOE announced the approval of the establishment of Wenzhou-Kean University.

Housing services
WKU offers four (4) housing options. All housing is subject to availability and housing subsidies are provided to defray basic living costs. A housing subsidy of $3,000.00 will be provided to each employee for stints of two (2) consecutive semesters (fall and spring). A housing subsidy of $1,500.00 will be provided for a one (1) semester stint (fall or spring).
Library services
Wenzhou-Kean University Library aims to offer outstanding support for world-class education. The Library advances academic success, amplifies diverse voices, cultivates innovative ideas, and empowers new knowledge through our resources, programs, spaces, and services.
Medical services
The HSC provides 24/7 services. There are abundant medical resources near the school, such as the first affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, Nanbaixiang community hospital and liao community hospital, etc., which provide a good medical guarantee for the timely transfer of acute and critical illness to the hospital.
Campus life
Covering an area of 494 acres in land planning, the campus of Wenzhou-Kean University is located in a beautiful township called Li’ao in Wenzhou. The style of Chinese layout and elements of American university are embodied in the campus buildings and facilities. The University strives for building a humanistic, ecological, intellectual, and outreach campus with merged Chinese and American cultures.
Currently, the first phase of the campus has been completed, including both existing and under-construction buildings, covering approximately 300,000 square meters, meeting the basic educational and teaching needs.
Sports facilities
The Athletics Center is located at the northwestern corner of the central campus. Its southern elevation faces the fountain ‘Campo’ and the College of Business and Public Management building, and the building is adjacent to the Student Learning and Activity Center as well as the student residential area.
