Bachelor of Arts in History
Studying BA in History at Jagannath University offers a rich academic and cultural experience, combining classroom lectures with research, presentations, and a final-year thesis that develops analytical and critical thinking skills. Situated in Old Dhaka, the campus provides direct exposure to historical and cultural heritage, while study tours and visits to archives and museums enhance practical learning. Despite some challenges such as crowded classrooms and occasional session delays, the program nurtures strong foundations in historical knowledge, research methodology, and communication, preparing graduates for careers in teaching, research, civil service, and related fields.
Interesting but chaotic
The subjects taught are very interesting and you have very intelligent professors that you learn from. The system is very chaotic though and many things are decided last minute without considering the student's situation (like deciding when a lecture will be, which is problematic because many students work and have already had to tell their bosses when they can come into work but still don't knowing when many of the lectures will be)
Good, but could be better
The online website we use is not bad, but many professors are not great at online lessons.
